"The public
cannot be too curious concerning the characters of public men." Samuel
Adams.
"The time has come that Christians
must vote for honest men, and take
consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them... Christians
have been exceedingly guilty in this matter. But the time has come when
they must act differently... God will bless or curse this nation,
according to the course Christians take." Charles G. Finney
(1792-1875), Revivalist in the Second and Third Great Awakenings,
College President.
"I have one
great political idea... The best expression of it I have
found in the Bible. It is in substance, 'Righteousness exalteth a
nation; sin is a reproach to any people' [Proverbs 14:34]. This
constitutes my politics -- the negative and positive of my politics,
and the whole of my politics."
Frederick Douglass, (1817-1895), Minister and civil rights
leader who served under four United States Presidents.
"The people
are responsible for the character of their Congress. If
that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people
tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent,
brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high
qualities... If the next centennial does not find us a great nation...
it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and
the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political
forces." James A. Garfield, (1831-1881), United States
President.
Dear
Patriots,
I have
heard rumors that Senator John McCain is considering Florida's
Governor, Charlie Crist, as his running mate. If this should happen,
there would be no "lesser evil" for which to vote.
Charlie
Crist is a rapist. He raped me on September 30, 1988. I did not know
him from politics. I knew him and, unfortunately, trusted him because
he was Liz Crist's brother. I knew Liz Crist because she was a
debutante with two of my very best friends from high school and from
junior high school.
Charlie
Crist's official stance concerning his sexual assault on me is that I
am mentally ill. I have at least three responses to his accusation.
First, it amazes me how evil people abuse others and then use their
victims' difficulty in coping with the abuse to discredit their
victims. I was depressed after being raped. Suffering emotional
trauma after having been sexually assaulted is normal - not mental
illness. Second, in trying to cope with the violence and degradation
inflicted upon me by Charlie Crist, I underwent two full psychological
evaluations. Both evaluations unequivocally concluded that I did not
suffer from any mental illness. In fact, I was not even "clinically
depressed." The evaluations, however, changed my life. I discovered
that I had a very high IQ! Third, I have learned that evil people
often accuse others of the sins or hidden faults of which they are
guilty. From my experience, Charlie Crist suffers from some type of
mental illness - whether from sexual addiction or sexual perversion or
both. I sincerely doubt that I am his only or last victim.
Regardless,
I know from personal experience that Charlie Crist is unfit for public
office. Senator McCain has a moral and civic duty to look elsewhere
for a potential Vice-President of the United States - and so does every
patriotic American.
Let's roll, Patriots!
