"The preservation of a free
government requires not merely that the metes and bounds which separate
each department of power be invariably maintained; but more especially
that neither of them be suffered to overleap the great Barrier which
defends the rights of the people. The Rulers who are guilty of such an
encroachment, exceed the commission from which they derive their
authority and are Tyrants. The people who submit to it are governed by
laws made neither by themselves nor by an authority derived from them,
and are slaves." -James Madison.
"Let us remember, that 'if we
suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and
involve others in our doom.' It is a very serious consideration, which
should deeply impress our minds, that millions yet unborn may be the
miserable sharers in the event." -Samuel Adams.
Dear
Patriots,
The
most basic premises of our system of government is that: (1) the only
legitimate purpose of government is to secure our God-given inalienable
rights; (2) the government derives its power from the People; and (3)
the government is limited to those powers delegated to it by the
People.
Congress is limited to those powers specifically enumerated in Article
1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. All the federal departments,
programs, agencies and expenditures beyond those listed in Article 1,
Section 8 exceed Congress' "commission."
According to James Madison,
because Congress has acted and continues to act outside its delegated
powers, we are now slaves ruled by Tyrants.
No patriotic American should
be supporting or voting for any member of Congress that does not
actively denounce the tyrannical acts of Congress. No patriotic American should be supporting or voting
for any candidate that does not pledge to end the tyranny. No
patriotic American should be trying to decide what is politically
expedient. Where would we be now if our founding fathers had not
decided to rebel against Britain, the most powerful nation at that
time?
Now it is our turn. Once
again, we are slaves to the most powerful nation in the world. It is
my understanding that an unprecedented number of Americans are
"undecided" as to whom to vote for President.
Now is the time to rally. We are not lost sheep
looking for a leader. We are a self-governing People who will no
longer "tamely suffer a lawless attack upon our liberty."
Meet with some like-minded people in your town. Plan a Liberty Tree rally. Make signs. Make
speeches. Start a Principles of Freedom course using "The 5000 Year
Leap" DVD course with those who attend. Use whatever talents God has
given you. The time for timidity is past.
Let's roll, patriots!
