 Dear
Patriots,
Merry Christmas! How
blessed we are to live in the land of the free and the home of the
brave. How blessed are all American citizens, whether Christian or
not, who partake in the great heritage of freedom that our founding
fathers left to us.
It is a shame to see so many vigorously working to undermine the
foundations of freedom that have made this nation the most prosperous
and free in human history. It is mostly done out of ignorance. They
have no understanding that our rights and liberties rest in our belief
and reliance upon God, not upon mankind or upon government. They have
no concept that if you take away a belief in the Creator, you take away
a belief in inalienable rights. They have no understanding of human
nature or of the genius of our Constitution that was designed to keep
human nature in check.
No matter. It is not the first time in our nation's history that
ignorant men and women have worked to destroy our liberties. It is
also not the first time in our history that God has opposed them. Take
a look around and you will see God doing what Benjamin Franklin said he
does, "governing the affairs of men."
Let us take these wonderful holy days to renew our covenant with our
Creator, both as a nation and as individuals. Let us be vigilant this
coming year to recognize God's work around us and to join Him in it.
What a privilege and what a joy! How can we fail if the work is His?
