Subject: TITLE:  And You Thought Elvis and the Playboy Mansion Were Bad!

The Lord tells us bluntly in 1 Corinthians 5:9 when he says: "I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators." Here's my advice to all parents out there: keep your children away from the entertainment industry because fornication is dominating it.  Lets begin with TV. Turn on MTV, VH1, or BET and most videos shown will be either one of two things: mildly sexual or extremely sexual. The Rap/R and B music genre are the most popular forms of music today and their videos might as well carry XXX ratings.
But fear not, it gets worse! Your teenage children can find music videos which are basically porns on pay cable television. In doing research for this article it was amazing how easy it was to find it on pay-TV. A couple of clicks of the remote control and there it was: music sung with totally pornographic images being used in the videos.   (Not too mention there must be a half-dozen hard core movie channels to choose from. Some offering movies which are nothing more than sex scene after sex scene. Who wants a movie with a good wholesome plot or dialogue: Hollywood can't waste time with that "old time" stuff, they have sex to sell.)
Aha! you say "they can't get me in my car!" Wrong again my Christian friends!!!! We now have "satellite radio." This new bit of technology offers car riders a multitude of channels beamed directly into your car from satellites in space. So now you can plug this into your car dashboard and "listen to" various cable stations (news, sports, weather, etc.) But guess who else is starting to get a piece of this action? You guessed it: the wonderful "adult" business. Many so-called radio "shock-jocks" are leaving the AM-FM radio bands and contemplating opening shop on satellite radio because since it is a "pay service" basically anything goes.
But as Christians we can fight back! We can "put on the whole armour of God" (Ephesians 6:10-18) and not buy any satellite radio  equipment. Secondly, as we are taught to do in Acts 28:31 "Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him." We can be pro-active by writing letters to our legislators and letting them know that we want satellite radio's content regulated! With faith in God, and by acting like his servants here on earth through our actions, we can overcome and win! Because as Jesus tells us: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 18-33)
Sincerely,
Mr. John Giotis
