At this year's Cannes Film festival all the talk has been about the "DaVinci Code." And as disturbing as that film is, this years Cannes will be remembered for a true abomination. The film "Shortbus" is an attack on everything Christian conservatives hold dear to our hearts. "Shortbus" is a film which actually shows real sexual acts on screen. But the difference between this filth and the garbage of the porn industry is that "Shortbus" is actually going to be shown on mainstream movie theatres in Europe. In addition, "Shortbus" disgraces the United States by having a homosexual scene where one of the men sings our national anthem while engaging in a homosexual act. The film maker, John Cameron Mitchell (who is American), says it is a "call to arms" against conservative values in America.

I am praying and calling on Christians nationwide to protect the sanctity of our Christian values and the dignity of our nation, by letting Hollywood and their political supporters know that this will not stand. First, we must make sure our children are kept away from any theatre in the U.S. which might be thinking of showing this movie. We must remind our children what the Lord tells us in Proverbs 1:10 when he says: "My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent."

Secondly, we must warn our fellow Christians of the evil that Hollywood and its political supporters are trying to perpetrate against our values and our country. Finally, it is

the duty of every single Christian to vote against anyone remotely supportive of Hollywood and its values. Because as the Lord tells us in Proverbs 29:2 "When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice. But when a wicked man rules, the people groan." Let's make sure that we vote for people of righteous values, those who will protect the dignity of our country, and lets make sure our children are never enticed to take a trip on Hollywood's "Shortbus."
